Saturday 14th September : Tudor House Museum, Southampton
Admission to the museum is free on this Heritage Open Day 2019 and Courtlye Musick is delighted to be adding to the atmosphere of this historic venue, playing between 11.00 and 16.00.
As part of your exploration of the 800 years of history at the House and Garden, experience some of the instruments and music that might have been heard in the House in Tudor times.
Friday 20th & Sunday 22nd September : Winchester Great Hall
In the magnificent setting of Winchester’s Great Hall, Anita and Martin will give pop-up performances between 13.00 and 14.00 on these two afternoons.
As you take in the historic setting, savour the sounds of period instruments; the strident shawm and sackbut, the strong tone of the cornetto and the serene sound of viols and recorders. Relish the atmosphere, linger awhile and listen to secular music from Tudor times.
The last weekend in September sees Courtlye Musick in collaboration again with our Early Music friends, Ars Nova from Cherbourg.
Friday 27th September : Our joint concert ‘from Dufay to Dowland’ will be performed in Cherbourg starting at 18.30.
Sunday 29th September : the joint concert will also take place at 17.00 in the church at Réville as part of the Festival de Musique Ancienne de Réville.
