July and August 2021

Thank you to all who came to our concerts in July and August. It was lovely to play to such appreciative audiences.

Please have a look at our Winchester Heritage Open Days video when it goes live on 10th September.

We are very glad to be able to rehearse together again and we are busy getting ready for performing in front of a live audience. In advance of our two lunch time concerts in Poole, we are holding two open rehearsals in Broadmayne Village Hall, Dorchester. All are welcome.

As well as the lunch time concerts in Poole in July and August, we plan to video some clips for the Heritage Open Days Festival in September. The theme for 2021 is Edible England. Further details to follow.

With Music Sounding

‘At the first course, the minstrels must sound their instruments …’

For centuries, music and dining have formed a magical partnership to delight the senses.  Find out more as we take you through an exploration of the huge range of Tudor dishes of the day across the seasons of the year.

With readings, fascinating instruments and colourful costumes, Courtlye Musick will transport you back in time to hear the music and imagine the delights of some unexpected dishes that you could have experienced at the banquets and festivities of the Tudor court.
